John Powell Throwing Camps & Instructional DVDs
John Powell's throwing camp provides activities designed to help develop skills and a mastery of all throwing events. We use a "learn by doing" format, which includes lots of throwing and fun drills, and video review. Instruction is personally directed by John and Brian to accommodate all levels of expertise and we include special guest coaches and elite athletes for extra inspiration. Alumni include over 150 state meet qualifiers and 76 state meet champions!

Discus & Shotput Throwing DVDs
JOHN POWELL - Considered the finest technician ever in the history of the discus events, Powell is respected for both his teaching AND throwing abilities. Four-time Olympian, seven-time National Champion, and two-time Ol ympic Medallist, no one is more effective in the ring than Powell. A former World Record Holder, at age 40, Powell won the Silver Medal at the Rome World Championships and only a few weeks later set a new personal best with the l ongest throw in the world that year - 236'6". Come and learn his "SECRETS"!
BRIAN OLDFIELD threw far...really, really far! He was the first man to throw 73', 74', and 75' in the Shot Put. he held the American and World records. He was a Munich Olympian and a National Champion Brian competitor in the World's Strongest Man and Superstars Competition. He graced the cover of Sports Illustrated. He's a spinner but he threw over 70' with Glide.
